Extraction

Inside a Vault, everything you pick up goes into your run bag: sats, ore, essences, crates. It becomes yours only when you extract.

• How to extract. Reach an extraction portal and hold E for a few seconds. Taking a hit interrupts the channel: you are loaded with loot, and vulnerable.
• Where. A portal appears where a boss falls, and hidden extraction points sit elsewhere in the Vault.
• Crates you open in a Vault go into the bag closed. Their content is drawn when you extract.
• Space. The bag needs room in your inventory to come home. Keep slots free.

Experience is always kept, extracted or not.

Ranked runs follow the same rule, with one difference: what you loot in a ranked run never leaves it. A ranked run pays in run points. See Ranked runs.
